5 Days Uganda Wildlife and Birding Safari will start in Entebbe and you will visit the Mabamba wetlands for an experience of seeing the shoebill. You will also visit Lake Mburo national park for a guided nature walk. You will proceed for a safari in Queen Elizabeth national park where you will enjoy a morning game drive and boat ride on the Kazinga channel before returning to Entebbe where your safari will end.

Detailed itinerary of the 5 Days Uganda Wildlife and Birding Safari

Day 1: pick up and visit Mabamba Swamp 

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe and you will start the tour to Mabamba swamp for the shoebill experience. You will enjoy a boat ride on Lake Victoria and see different bird species including the Malachite Kingfisher, Pink backed Pelican, Plovers among others.

The highlight of the day will be searching for the shoebill in the Mabamba swamp and you will later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: drive to Lake Mburo national park and Walking Safari 

After having breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe, you will start the journey to Lake Mburo national park which will take about 4 hours. You will engage in a walking safari on this day and explore the national park on foot guided by the ranger guides who will accompany you and teach you about the national park and its wildlife species like zebras, buffalos, antelopes, giraffes, warthogs among others.

You will be driven to the lodge after the guided nature walk for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will start your day with breakfast at the lodge in Lake Mburo national park where you will engage in a short game drive and see different wildlife species around the savannah plains and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will have lunch at the lodge.

After lunch, you will engage in an evening game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park and see wildlife species such as lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, impalas, waterbucks, topi, hartebeests among others. You will proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game Drive & Kazinga boat Cruise
You will go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park after breakfast at the lodge and search for wildlife species like elephants, lions, impalas, buffalos, leopards, waterbucks among others as well as different bird species.

You will have lunch after the morning game drive and also take part in a boat ride on the Kazinga channel where the boat will take you close to animals like schools of hippos, buffalos, herds of elephants, Nile crocodiles by the water shores and different water birds. After the boat ride, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe and Departure
Your breakfast will be served early at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park and embark on the journey back to Entebbe which will take about 6 hours and your guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport which will bring the tour to an end.
