18 Days Uganda and Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival and pick-up

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by a representative of Engabi Tours and Travel who will welcome to Africa and transfer you to your luxury hotel in Entebbe town. He/she will brief you about the upcoming safari activities. Overnight at your hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 

After breakfast, you’ll fly from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip, a scenic journey of about 1 hour and 15 minutes, followed by a short drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You’ll settle into your luxury lodge set deep within the forested hills.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking 

After early breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi national park, you will go to the park headquarters and have a briefing on gorilla trekking. You will go with your packed lunches for the trek and you will search for the gorillas with your assigned ranger guide.

You will spend1 hour with the gorillas in Bwindi forest after finding them and later return to the lodge where you will relax and have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4:  Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 

Your breakfast will be served at the lodge in Bwindi national park ahead of the drive to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving in time for check in, lunch and later dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise

After early breakfast at the luxury lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park, you will engage in a game drive in the Kasenyi plains and search of wildlife species such as lions, leopards, elephants, topis, waterbucks, buffalos, hippos among others. 

You will have a lunch break after the morning game drive and also take part in an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga channel where Lake George and Edward meet. During the boat ride, you will see wildlife species like hippos, buffalos, elephants and also Nile crocodiles and various bird species. After the boat ride, you will be driven to the lodge to have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale National Park 

You will have breakfast at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park and your guide will take you on a short morning game drive on your way to Kibale national park which takes about 3 hours. 

Your guide will drive you to the lodge in Kibale national park where you will have lunch and later visit the crater lakes around the park. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Your breakfast will be served at the lodge and you will proceed to Kanyanchu park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. You will search for the chimpanzees with your ranger guides and during the encounter with the chimpanzees, you will also see other primates like vervet monkeys as well as black and white colobus monkeys. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees and later return to the park headquarters.

After the chimpanzee trek, you will also engage in a tour at the Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will enjoy a nature walk and also enjoy a bird watching experience. After this tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park 

After having breakfast at the lodge in Kibale national park,, you will start the journey to Murchison falls national park through the Albertine escarpment and during the drive you will enjoy beautiful views ad also have a stop for lunch.

You will check in at the lodge in Murchison falls park where you will spend the night.

Day 9: Game drive and bottom of the falls boat cruise 

You will engage in a morning game drive in Murchison falls national park after an early breakfast at the lodge and you will search for wildlife species like elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, warthogs, waterbucks, impalas, leopards among others. 

You will have a stop for lunch after the game drive and you will also have an afternoon boat ride to the bottom of the Murchison falls for about 2 hours. During the boat ride, you will see wildlife species by the water shores like hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffalos and elephants and later have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe via Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary 

After an early breakfast at the lodge in Murchison falls national park, you will start the drive to Entebbe with a stop for rhino tracking at Zziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola. You will have a short briefing before heading out on foot to search for the rhinos with a ranger guide.

Your guide will drop you off at the hotel in Entebbe where you will spend the night and also have dinner.

Day 11: Flight to Kilimanjaro international airport

You will start your day with breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe and your guide will drive you to Entebbe airport for your flight to Kilimanjaro international airport. On arrival in Tanzania, you will be picked up and driven to the hotel in Arusha for check in.

Day 12: Drive to Ngorongoro conservation area

Your guide will drive you to the Ngorongoro conservation area after having breakfast at the hotel in Arusha. You will engage in a game drive in the Ngorongoro crater and search for wildlife species like antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, hyenas, lions, leopards, cheetahs among others. After the game drive in Ngorongoro, you will have dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 13: Full Day Game drive in the crater and visit to the Masai village

After having an early breakfast, you will once again go down in the Ngorongoro crater for another fascinating game drive with more opportunities of encountering wildlife.

Later in the day you will enjoy your picnic lunch and continue with the game drive until the evening time when you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Drive to Serengeti national park

Your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park after having breakfast at the lodge. You will engage in a short game drive around the central part of Serengeti as you look out for wildlife such as zebras, antelopes, wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, lions, cheetahs among others. You will be driven to the lodge in Serengeti national park where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15: Game drives in Serengeti national park

You will have the day to explore Serengeti national park during a morning and afternoon game drive in search of wildlife species such as the big five which include elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalos and leopards among other wildlife species. After the game drive in Serengeti national park, you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16: Full day in Serengeti national park

After an early breakfast at the lodge in Serengeti national park, you will engage in a game drive in the morning and in the afternoon to search for other wildlife species including the wildebeests, zebras, impalas, kudu, topi, hyenas, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, elands among others.

You will explore more of Serengeti national park and your guide will drive you to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 17: Drive to Tarangire national park

You will start your day with breakfast at the lodge in Serengeti national park and your guide will drive you to Tarangire national park where you will enjoy seeing the giant baobab trees and see different wildlife species around the savannah plains like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, lions among others. After the game rive in Tarangire national park, you will be driven to the lodge to have dinner and to spend the night.

Day 18: Drive to Arusha and departure

Your breakfast will be served at the lodge in Tarangire national park and you will have a short game drive in the morning, you will be driven to Arusha where your guide will drop you off at Kilimanjaro international airport or hotel in Arusha which will bring the tour to an end.
