The best time to travel for this itinerary is between June and October, which coincides with the dry season in Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya. During these months, the forests of Kibale and Bwindi are easier to trek, making chimpanzee and gorilla tracking more comfortable and rewarding.

Wildlife viewing in the Serengeti and Masai Mara is also at its peak, as the Great Migration river crossings take place from late July through October, offering some of the most dramatic safari experiences on the continent. Traveling in this period gives you the ideal balance of favorable weather, clear skies, and unforgettable wildlife encounters across all destinations on the trip.

How To Get There:

After arriving at Entebbe International Airport, a one-hour drive takes you to your hotel. The next morning, a domestic flight from Entebbe to Kasese Airstrip lasts about one hour, followed by a scenic road transfer of roughly 1.5 hours to Kibale National Park. From Kasese, another one-hour flight brings you to Kihihi Airstrip, with a further 1.5–2-hour drive into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

To connect Uganda with Tanzania, you return to Entebbe for a two-hour flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you transfer by road to Arusha. From Arusha, a direct flight to Kogatende Airstrip in northern Serengeti takes about three hours. Game drives then link the northern and central Serengeti areas, with short drives between camps.

From Serengeti, you take a 45-minute flight to Tarime in Tanzania, cross by road at the Isebania border, and continue with a 15-minute drive to Migori Airstrip in Kenya. A short 45-minute flight then lands you in the Masai Mara at Keekorok Airstrip. After your stay in the Mara, a one-hour flight takes you to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, followed by a 40-minute road transfer to Giraffe Manor.
