The 3 days Nyungwe chimpanzee tracking safari takes you to Nyungwe national park in south Rwanda to for a chimpanzee tracking tour. In addition to chimpanzees, Nyungwe has got other 12 primate species of which some can be seen on this tour. This safari also includes a tour around Kigali to see a variety of attractions including genocide memorials, markets, museum and more.

Detailed itinerary of the 3 Days Nyungwe Chimpanzee Tracking Safari
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Your guide will pick you up upon your arrival at the Kigali international airport or at your hotel in Kigali and welcome you for the safari in Rwanda. After a short briefing, you will be driven to Nyungwe national park.
You will have a stop in Butare and also visit the Rwanda national museum and your lunch will also be had en route and after this your guide will drive you to the lodge in Nyungwe national park for check in and also to have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trek and Canopy Walk
After having breakfast early at the lodge, you will transfer to the Nyungwe park offices for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking as early as 7:00 am. You will go with ranger guides to search for the chimpanzees in the forest and during the trek; you will see the chimpanzees in the trees as they swing from one branch to another. You will also have a chance to record the chimpanzees and after the trek you will return to the park headquarters.
You will also engage in a canopy walk on this day after having lunch and enjoy an aerial view of the Nyungwe forest from a suspended bridge as you enjoy a guided nature walk with your guide. After the canopy walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to Kigali
Your breakfast will be served at the lodge in Nyungwe national park and embark on a drive back to Kigali with lunch en-route. Your guide will drop you off at the hotel in Kigali or at Kigali international airport which will bring the tour to an end.
