Detailed itinerary of the 4 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Safari
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Bwindi national park
You will be met by your safari guide who will welcome you for safari and you will have a short briefing before starting the journey to Bwindi national park in south western Uganda for about 8 hours.
Along the way, you will stop at the equator for photography and craft shopping and also have lunch in Mbarara. Your guide will drive you to the lodge in Bwindi national park where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
Your breakfast will be served early at the lodge and you will have a briefing as early as 7:00 am at the Bwindi park headquarters. You will be briefed on the guidelines of gorilla trekking and start the search in groups of 8 and be assigned ranger guides to accompany you during the trek through the Bwindi forest.
You will search for the gorillas and spend 1 hour with the mountain gorillas after trekking through the steep forest of Bwindi national park and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will set out for another gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi national park which will start with a briefing at the Bwindi headquarters by the ranger guides. You will be assigned groups and search for gorillas in the Bwindi forest and you will trek a different gorilla group on this day and also have 1 hour with the gorillas.
You will return to the briefing point after the gorilla trek in Bwindi national park and later engage in a community tour to interact with the Batwa community and get to know about their way of life, enjoy welcoming traditional dance performances. After this activity, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Entebbe
You will have early breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi national park ahead of the drive back to Entebbe where you will be dropped off at the airport which will bring the safari to an end.
