Detailed itinerary of the 10 Days East Africa Tour
Day 1: Arrival
Your guide in Kenya will pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta international airport and welcome you for the safari and drive you to your hotel in Nairobi for check in.
Day 2: Drive to Masai Mara
After breakfast at the hotel in Nairobi, your guide will drive you to Masai Mara national reserve for an unforgettable wildlife safari in one of the best safari destinations in Kenya.
You will have lunch before engaging in a game drive around Masai mara and search for wildlife species like elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, impalas, hippos and many others. You will be driven back to the lodge after the game drive for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Game drives in Masai Mara
Your breakfast will be served early at the lodge and you will start your full day wildlife experience in Masai Mara reserve. You will engage in a morning and afternoon game drive around the savannah plains in search of the big five (lions, buffalos, rhinos, elephants and leopards) and many other wildlife species at the destination. After the game drives, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Drive to Serengeti national park
After having breakfast at the lodge in Masai Mara reserve, you will start the journey to Serengeti national park which is in the northern part of Tanzania. You will cross via the Isebania border to the lodge in Serengeti where you will check in and spend the night.
Day 5: Game drives in Serengeti
You will engage in a morning game drive after having breakfast at the lodge in Serengeti national park and search for elephants, buffalos, rhinos, giraffes, waterbucks, kudu, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, reedbucks, topi, lions, leopards, cheetahs among others. After having lunch, you will take part in an afternoon game drive in the park and explore the vast savannah to search for more wildlife and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Drive to Arusha
Your guide will drive you to Arusha after having breakfast at the lodge in Serengeti national park and you will spend the night at the hotel in Arusha.
Day 7: Flight to Entebbe airport
You will be driven to Kilimanjaro international airport by your guide for your flight to Entebbe international airport. You will be picked up from Entebbe airport on arrival and transfer to the hotel for check in.
Day 8: Drive to Bwindi national park
After an early breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe, you will start the journey to Bwindi national park which takes about 8 hours as you enjoy the beautiful countryside. You will have stops along the way at the equator where you will enjoy craft shopping and also have a stop in Mbarara.
You will proceed to the lodge in Bwindi national park where you will check in and prepare for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking
You will start your gorilla trek in Bwindi national park after a briefing at the park headquarters and you will be divided into groups of 8 and allocated ranger guides. You will follow different trails through the impenetrable forest as you search for the gorillas.
After finding the gorillas in Bwindi forest, you will spend 1 hour with them and later return to the lodge for dinner and to spend the night.
Day 10: Drive to Entebbe
You will embark on a long drive back to Entebbe after breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi national park with a stop for lunch enroute and your guide will drop you off at the airport which will bring the tour to an end.
