The safari starts in Nairobi, Kenya where you will visit the famous Masai Mara national reserve before crossing to Tanzania for a tour in Serengeti national park. During the tour, you will also fly to Rwanda for a gorilla trek in Volcanoes national park and end the tour in Rwanda.

Detailed itinerary the 11 days East Africa safari
Day 1: Arrival
You will be picked up from Jomo Kenyatta international airport on arrival and your guide will welcome you for the safari, give you a short briefing on the tour and you will proceed to the hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2: Drive to Masai Mara
After an early breakfast at the hotel in Nairobi you will be driven to Masai Mara national reserve with a stop in Narok town. You will take part in an afternoon game drive around Masai Mara to look out for wildlife species like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, cheetahs, antelopes, zebras and many others.
Day 3: Game drives in Masai Mara
Early breakfast will be served at the lodge ahead of an exciting morning game drive in Masai Mara as you search for the big 5 and other wildlife around the savannah. You will have a break to eat your lunch before continuing with an afternoon game drive and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Drive to Serengeti national park
Your guide will drive you from Masai Mara to Serengeti national park on this day via the Isebania border and you will enjoy seeing wildlife species like elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes among others on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Game drives in Serengeti
You will explore the vast savannah of Serengeti national park in search of various wildlife species during a morning and afternoon game drive. During the game drives, you will look for giraffes, cheetahs, lions, impalas, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and many others. After the game drives in Serengeti national park, your guide will drive you to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Drive to Arusha
After breakfast at the lodge in Serengeti national park, you will enjoy a short game drive in Serengeti and search for wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, antelopes, impalas, lions among others and your guide will be drive you to Arusha where you will spend the rest of the evening.
Day 7: Flight to Rwanda
You will start your day with breakfast at the hotel in Arusha and your guide will drive you to Kilimanjaro international airport for the flight to Kigali international airport. On arrival in Kigali, you will be welcomed by our company representative and driven to the hotel for check in.
Day 8: Drive to Volcanoes national park
After breakfast in Kigali, you will embark on a journey to Volcanoes national park the home of mountain gorillas in Rwanda. You will have a stop at the Iby’iwacu village which is also referred to as the gorilla guardians village to experience the Rwandese culture, enjoy and participate in traditional dances, try out local cuisine and get to know more about the culture.
You will continue to your lodge in Volcanoes national park where you will spend the rest of the evening relaxing.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking
You will set out into Volcanoes national park to search for the gorillas in their natural habitat after breakfast at the lodge. Briefing will be done at the park headquarters at Kinigi before heading out with ranger guides for gorilla trekking.
After spending time with the gorillas and taking photos and recording videos of them, you will be driven to the lodge where you will have a relaxing evening and have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast at the lodge in Volcanoes national park, you will start the journey to Kigali city where your guide will drop you off at the airport bringing the tour to an end.
