Detailed itinerary
Day 1; flight to Bwindi national park
Your safari will start with a flight from Entebbe international airport to Bwindi national park. On arrival at the airstrip in Bwindi, your guide will pick you up and drive you to the lodge for check in.
You will engage in a cultural tour on this day and interact with the Batwa who are the pygmy tribe known for having lived in the Bwindi forest for many years. You will engage in various activities including traditional dances, hunting, honey collection and learning how to prepare the local food. After this activity, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2; gorilla trekking
This day will be spent with the gorillas in Bwindi national park after a briefing at the park headquarters. You will also be divided into groups and allocated ranger guides to accompany you for the search of the mountain gorillas in the dense forests. You will follow different trails in search for the gorillas and also see other primates and many bird species.
After finding the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas and record them, watch their behaviors and take many videos and photos of the moments spent with the gorillas after which you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3; flight to Entebbe
After having breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi national park, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Entebbe international airport which will bring the tour to an end.
